When trying to "describe" a table in Toad (right-click | describe, after highlighting the table name), the describe box no longer pops up MOST of the time. It does nothing...no error message, no pop-up, nothing.
1) Go to View | Options | Windows and change the "Describe windows" field from Stay on top to MDI.
2) Click OK.
3) Perform a describe on a table. It should work at this point, but the describe window will be hidden behind the editor window.
4) Close the describe window.
5) Go back to View | Options | Windows and change the "Describe windows" field from MDI to Stay on top.
6) Click OK.
7) Describe the table again.
