Very often when selecting Script tab from Describe Objects window, TOAD freezes. It seems the only way out is to use task manager to kill toad.
This is not table/view specific.
Please try this suggestion.
1. In Schema Browser, select a table or view that does not hang, click on the Script tab.
2. Next click on the View/edit script Options icon.
3. Then click on the Common tab, Uncheck the "Format PLSQL objects", then click OK.
4. Please retest the issue.
