Can you log into a different SVN repository without amending the svn.ini file, or restarting Toad? (4236660)

The login to VCS button is disabled by design. This button is specific to Team Coding and is not used by stand alone.
If the repositories are on the same server/port and use the same protocols (e.g Webdav), then you should be able to enter the login information for the second repository in the SVN login window. Make sure that the work directory for the second repository is set up and initialized.

If the second repository is on a different server, then the server information in the SVN Configuration Options Server tab must be modified each time the user switches to a different repository. This is not the case in Toad 12.

SVN Configuration Options – Options tab, has a log in automatically option. Turn this off. This should force a login window to come up every time the user starts Toad. In which case there is no need to change the default repository setting in the SVN.INI file.

Toad 12 includes 2 options that make it much easier to do this.
• Log off VCP on the Select Project window makes it possible to log on to a different VCS Provider without exiting Toad.
• It is possible to create logins to different repositories without modifying the information in SVN Configuration Options.
