When trying to uninstall a product through the Quest Installer in Windows Vista as a user account with Administrator roles, the user receives an the following error: "You have insufficient access to perform this uninstall. You must have administrator equivalent privileges to continue."
WORKAROUND:
1. Go to Start | Programs | Quest Software | Quest Installer and right-click the Quest Installer shortcut.
2. Click on "Run as administrator" option.
3. A message will appear: "Unidentified program wants to access your computer.
QI.exe
Unidentified Publisher"
Click on Allow - I trust this program. I know where it's from or I've used it before.
4. Run through the Quest Installer's uninstall process.
