How to disable truncate table option in Import Table Data, and other import/data generator features.
Description

How can the ability to truncate a table be disabled in the import data features?
Resolution

Toad Security settings can be enabled and applied per user to restrict what tools are available to a user on the Toad interface. Please refer to KB Article 9131 and 20465 for further info about setting up Toad Security.
Currently the Toad Security setting only applies to the Schema Browser "Truncate Table" option. It does not apply to the option from the Import windows or the Data Generator window. A report has been submitted for this.
WORKAROUND:
None.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
Note: Toad Security settings only restrict a user from the Toad gui. It does not restrict the user from truncating a table outside of Toad. It does not affect the user's Oracle privileges. A user will still be able to run the Oracle TRUNC command, wheter from within Toad (editor) or outside of Toad.
