Sometimes when I am typing in the editor and I type a period, toad hangs for several minutes.
Description

Trying to use code assist(Toad Insight) from within cursor script doesn't bring up the code assist list as expected. Either using the object name or an alias, Toad does no bring up the list and/or hangs Toad.
Resolution

Please ensure that latest Windows Updates have been run on the machine, as this issue can occur if the machine hasn't been updated in some time.

WORKAROUND:
None.
If this causes Toad to hang and becomes too disruptive, disable code assist under View | Toad Options | Editor | Code Assist.

STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
