In the schema browser, for some objects the schema browsers schema drop down is grayed out and notes Multiple schemas. The setting cannot be changed. How is this set and how can it be reset to normal?
The multiple schema setting is based off the filter for the object tab that currently has focus (i.e. the filter set for the tables tab is different and affects the schema drop down differently form the filter that is set for packages). When the drop down notes Multiple Schemas the filter for the tab is set to Schema Name: (all schemas).
To change this in the schema drop down, change or remove Schema Name: (all schemas) filter for the object tab. This can be done through the gui by clicking on the filter button in the object tabs toolbar (a red funnel icon).
The Toad file that controls this in Toad is the <connected_schema_name>.SBFLT which is located in the User Files folder (for Toad 9.7 and 10, C:Documents and Settings<personal folder>Application DataQuest SoftwareToad for Oracle<version>User Files). If this file is renamed/removed, it will clear out all object filters in the schema browser.
