I am trying to install Toad on a Virtual Server. After installing as local, the settings are carried over between different user logins. I want different personal settings for each user.
So instead, I tried installing as Terminal Server/Citrix install, and still, individual settings are not created for each users and the same settings seems to be carried over from the inital user logged in, to install Toad.
Why is this?
Individual user doesn't have the privileges to create their own User Files directory for the settings.
Grant Windows power user privileges to the individual users.
To install, a user must have Windows admins rights. As a Terminal/Citrix install, the general Toad files are created with a default directory of client files. When an individual user logs in and launches Toad, it will check the user's personal folder for settings. If it is not there, the default client files are copied over into the the personal folder and from there, Toad will read and write to this "local" personal directory.
As a general user, if not admin, you will need at least Power user privileges. You need to be able to create, read, and write to and from the personal directory of new settings and changes.
