User has 3 separate lines of data in one single column of a table and the user wishes only to copy a portion of one of the lines, after copying a small portion of the one of the lines, he gets a prompt message saying, "Cell contains more than one line - copy entire contents to clipboard?" The user selects 'NO'. When the user goes to paste what he highlighted, it pastes the entire line nevertheless.
For example:
Table column 1 has the following 3 lines of data in the cell:
Name: Test
Address: 123 Test
Zip: 12345
User highlights 'Test' from the 1st line, user gets the prompt and chooses 'NO' and then pastes it into a notepad file. What is pasted is the entire 1st line, "Name: Test" instead of just 'Test'.
1. Double click on the column on the Data Grid that has data to be copied.
2. A Grid Popup Editor appears with all the data in the cell of the column. Highlight the portion needed and copy it.
3. Paste it into any other editor. Toad will paste only the highlighted and copied text.
4. Close the Grid Popup Editor window.
Note: Data Grid only copies one line or all lines in a single cell of a column; depending if you selected 'Yes' or 'No' from the message prompt above.
