CTRL and Function keys are repeated on the next keypress in Toad -
Description
Everytime the CTRL + 'key' shortcut action is used in the Editor, when the next key is typed, no matter what it is, the same 'key' used in the shortcut action is typed in the Editor.Here are some examples...1. When executing a query, using CTRL+ENTER, when the next key is pressed it acts like ENTER.2. When copying, using CTRL+C, when the next key is pressed it will display a "c" in the Editor.3. When pasting, using CTRL+V, when the next key is pressed it will display a "v" in the Editor. -
Cause
This issue occurs when Citrix Workspace is installed on the machine with the App Protection option. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:If possible, uninstall Citrix Workspace. If Citrix Workspace is needed, then reinstall it without the App Protection option.STATUS:Waiting for a fix to be released in a future version of Toad for Oracle. -

We believe that this is actually a bug in Citrix Workspace App, not Toad. The App Protection option fo Citrix Workspace app seems to have a keyboard hook and is incorrectly processing the HC_NOREMOVE code.Toad is not the only application to experience problems when Citrix Workspace App is installed with the App Protection Option. For example, in Excel, if editing a cell, CTRL+A does nothing. It should select the entire cell contents (and does when Citrix is not installed). Toad's problem is more severe, but this illustrates that the problem is Citrix Workspace App, not Toad.We are still looking to see if a change can safely be made to a future Toad to work around this.Update: The bug is somewhere in the Devex toolbar code. We have opened a case with them.
