Where is the 'Execute statement at cursor' button on the Editor toolbar?
The Execute statement at cursor button was renamed and removed from being a default feature on the standard toolbar. The new name for the button is "Execute Snippet". Please following these instructions to add it:
In Versions 9.5 and prior:
1. Go to View | Toad Options... | Toolbars and make sure that the “Configurations” is set to “User default” then click Okay.
2. Right click on main toolbar and choose “Customize…” from the drop down. If “Merged” is checked you will need to uncheck it first.
3. Click on the Commands Tab.
4. Under the Categories list find Execution/Compilation.
5. Find and drag Execute Snippet from the Command list to the place you want it on the toolbar.
In Versions 9.6 and after:
1. Right click on main toolbar and choose “Customize…” from the drop down. If “Lock Toolbars” is checked you will need to uncheck it first.
2. Click on the Commands Tab.
3. Under the Categories list find ‘Editor’ on the left hand side.
4. Find and drag Execute Snippet from the Command list to the place you want it on the toolbar.
In Toad for Oracle 9.1 the following steps vary:
4. Under the Categories list find "Editor."
5. Find and drag Execute Snippet button from the Commands list into the Standard toolbar. When you drag the button out of the Customize window there will be an initial negative sign [-] that will turn into a plus sign [+] when the button can be dropped into the Standard toolbar.
