User had installed Quest Agent on one server machine then installed Toad agent for SQL Analysis 5.1 on different folder.
When tried to do SQL collection and got error: SQC02025E - Attempt to Repository information failed. Unable to communicate with the Toad for DB2 Agent. See attachment. On Qsdbg.log also shown error: 'QCC20004E: QcClient - Error launching agent 'ScAdmin@1' (rc=5)'
When displayed agent processes it was missing ScAdmin and QcSched
This install is using port numbers 5677 and 5678 which are the port numbers from the Quest Central for DB2 Agent. The Toad SQL Analysis for DB2 agent uses port numbers 5687 and 5688. There are files in the SQL Analysis v5.1.0 install directory from the Quest Central for DB2 agent.
The qcports.txt file in the migrate script was causing the failure to communicate with the agent, and the files in the Jobs directory in the customer's environment are not needed as these jobs are old and they are from jobs that failed.
1. The current install directory can be renamed to keep a backup copy of their install.
2. Install into a new directory, as previously done, but do not use the migrate script.
3. Start Agent to make sure all processes running (QcAgent, QcRouter, quest_launcher, QcSched and ScAdmin.
