INTERNAL - TOAD.EXE Crashed Production DB2 Instance
Description
TOAD for DB2 6.3. In the TABLES window of the Object Explorer with a TABLE selected, I clicked the INDEXES tab, then selected the first index to view. I then arrowed down quickly thru the indexes. After 4 - 5 times moving hitting the down arrow and moving down thru the indexes, I received an error box stating my userid did not have authority to connect to the database. I then tried connecting with the instance owner and received a vanilla connection error. At that time I checked the instance to find a database manager was no running. The db2diag.log showed a SIGKILL command had been sent. I had to issue db2start to start the instance back up. My userid was shown in the db2diag.log as the authorization ID and toad.exe was shown at the application ID causing the error.
