Tools | Compare | “DB/DBM Parameters Compare” | the Compare button is grayed-out. When logged-in to both the LUW DB2 database instances that will be compared. It does not matter if the login password is saved or not in the Connection Manager, the user is not prompted for any login screen.
Perform a reset of the Toad for DB2 user files. This will bring your Toad back to factory defaults.
1) Fully exit Toad for DB2.
2) Go to:
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER>\Application Data\Quest Software\
Vista or 7: C:\Users\<YOUR_USER>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\
3) Rename the “Toad for DB2 5.5” folder to “Toad for DB2 5.5 OLD”.
4) Start Toad for DB2 5.5.
5) When asked if you want to ‘Migrate’ settings from a previous version, choose “CANCEL”.
6) Connect to one database and exit Toad for DB2 again to finalize all the settings.
7) Start Toad for DB2 again (check & ensure Toad has been reset to factory defaults) and then re-test the issue.
