Error with different DataBase (DB) name with giving DB name during connection -
Description
User connected to database MPALT01 from Toad for DB2 v 5.0. User got an error:
"SQL30061N The database alias or database name "LENA960 " was not found at the remote node."
Connecting to MPALT01 but error shown LENA960.

Cause
IBM issue.

Resolution
Please follow steps below:
1. Open
C:\Program...path_to_Toad_IBM_Provider\
For windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IBM\DB2\ToadC50\TOADC50
2. Make a backup folders SQLDBDIR, SQLGWDIR, SQLNODIR (it's very important to make a backup of those folders, if something wrong happens, it will help to restore old state.)
3. Remove those folders (it will remove all catalog connections!)
3. Open in another window C:\Program...path_to_work_well_IBM_Provider\ It could be at C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\DB2\SQLDBDIR
4. Copy from SQLDBDIR, SQLGWDIR, SQLNODIR folders from C:\Program...path_to_work_well_IBM_Provider\ to C:\Program...path_to_Toad_IBM_Provider\
5. Restart
6. Try to connect from Toad
