Cause
A temp file that is created during the automation was not removed after the last automated job.

Resolution
Clear out the Windows temp folders of all .tmp files. This can best be done after a reboot and do not launch any applications to avoid having to skip files that are in use.
The temp folder is usually located in:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp
Once this is done create a new .tmp file in the Temp folder (any name) and then make it read-only i.e.
right click filename | check the 'Read only' box
