In Toad for DB2 v6.2.0.315, there is a problem when trying to cancel a running query, where the query does not cancel, and you have to end the Toad process to stop it.
To replicate it:
1. Define in : Tools | Options | Database | General | Numbers of rows to initially fetch in data tab : 200, uncheck "unlimited" , check "apply to editor"
2. Open a new Editor and run a select statement on table that has more than 200 rows
3. When you get the prompt "A background query has been paused. This can cause an exclusive lock on the tables involved. Do you want to cancel the query?" choose No.
4. Scroll in the results to see more than 200 rows.
5. Then try to stop the query with the red button "cancel Executing query" , and it becomes stuck.
