Why Toad Data Point 6.2.0 was substituted with Toad Data Point 6.2.3 on the Portal?

The implementation of a new feature in Toad Data Point 6.2 led to a regression, as indicated by the error message "There is no connection description, Connection failed" in the automation logs.

The Change Connection functionality introduced in TDP 6.2 enhances the user experience by enabling safe switching of connections within the Transform and Cleanse tab. This feature mirrors the existing capability found in the Pivot Grid tab, streamlining the process of using a single template across multiple connections to the same data source.

However, a part of this feature related to the Automation Script Designer and the option to select a connection specifically for the Clean Data step, aimed at ensuring consistent connection management, has caused a regression.

Users should be aware that Automation Scripts created in earlier versions of TDP, containing embedded .tct files (Clean steps), will not be processed correctly by TDP 6.2, resulting in script failures.

Toad Data Point 6.2.3, the version that resolves this regression, is now accessible for download via the support portal.
