In order to run an upgrade to my main DB2 client, I ran IBM's db2unins utilty. This caused Toad for Data Analyst to break because the sandbox Toad DB2 client was also uninstalled. However, when uninstalling Toad to resolve this issue, it hangs with "Gathering required information".
I need a way to either reinstall the sandbox client TACOMXX or the uninstall should not fail if no TACOMXX exists.
This may occur if db2unins utility has been run which will remove all DB2 clients (including Toad's sandbox TACOMXX client)
WORKAROUND
Install a DB2 Instance 'TACOMXX' (where XX is the Toad version you are trying to uninstall/reinstall) e.g. TACOM31. Then uninstall/reinstall Toad
STATUS
Enhancement request ER100491 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Toad for Data Analysts.
This issue may also occur with Toad for DB2 if sandbox client TOADCXX (e.g. TOADC50) is inadvertantly uninstalled
