Running Toad Data Point on Windows 7 and Windows 8 threw an issue with one of the IBM DB2 features called “Configure .NET Data Provider”. This does not appear to work under Windows 7 or 8.
Note: The program compatibility assistant came up when trying to launch it in Windows 7.
1. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (Service Pack 1)
Note: The following conditions apply concerning .NET:

b. The .NET Framework Client Profile is not supported.
c. To run Toad, the .NET security policy must be set to unrestricted. See "User Requirements and Restrictions for Running Toad " for more information.
2. If you have a 64-bit "DB2 Client" installed, you must install Toad using the ToadDataPoint_64bit_Client.exe.
