Please try:
1. Launching Toad again and cancel when prompt to migrate from 2.7.
2. Then exit Toad and you can bring over the connection inform from Toad 2.7 to 3.1 by copying the file connection.xml from C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Data Analysts 2.7 to 3.1.
If you are on Windows 7, it will be C:\user\username\AppData\Quest Software\Toad for Data Analysts 2.7
