How to run at SQL statement at cursor in a large script?

Example:

If my script has the following SQL statements. Cursor is at 2nd statement and I just want to execute the 2nd statement.

select * from table1

select *from dual

select * from table2
Resolution

WORKAROUND#1:
Highlight the entire statement text (the hotkey will then execute the selection regardless of the statement terminator)

WORKAROUND#2:
Add a semi-colon to the end of each statement
