After upgrading to TDP 3.7, a migrate automation script no longer works, giving the following error:
"FAIL to insert,error:Failed to convert parameter value from SqlDouble to a string".
This script runs Import Wizard (Tools | Import), importing data from Excel to a table. This worked previously in Toad.
Regression error. The error is related to the "save import errors" option. If it is chooses at the end of the wizard, to save import as template and check the box to save import errors, Toad will error out and not complete.
WORKAROUND:
For Imports, continue through wizard to end. If choosing to save import as template, do not check the box to "save import errors".
Update any saved scripts built through Import Wizard that has this option enabled if working with TDP 3.7. This is not an issue in Toad 3.6 and older.
STATUS:
Fixed in Toad Data Point 3.8. The newest version of Toad Data Point can be downloaded here.
