Unable to set date column to 9999 in grid. (4212213)

When trying to add data through the data gird, a data column cannot be set to the year 9999. The date cannot be manually typed in and can only be selected through the gui that scrolls through the years. Starting from the current year, it needs to be scrolled all the way to 9998, where is stops and cannot be scrolled further to the year 9999.

Limit on the date field is set to 9998.

WORKAROUND:
Manually run an INSERTS statement that adds the desired 9999 year.
