Cross Query Database Error. Invalid data source definition: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied. (4302680)

WORKAROUND:

The syntax for a cross-connection is very specific. It includes the full connection and database and table, often in tick marks like below.  Also the cross-connection engine may prefer ANSI SQL joins (INNER join on....).  The SQL would look something like below.  

Please have the ‘Cross-Connection Query Builder’ build the query for you instead of using the ‘Cross-Connection Editor’.  

SELECT  ADDRESS.*
                , REGION.REGION_NAME
FROM
               `alvdpeabody2.prod.quest.corp (sa), QUEST_DEV`.QUEST_DEV.dbo.REGION REGION
               INNER JOIN
               `Oracle_DailyTest`.QUEST_DEV.ADDRESS ADDRESS
               ON (REGION.REGION_ID = ADDRESS.REGION_ID)
