Toad tries to access SYSCAT.SECURITYPOLICIES when runnign a reverse engineering. -
Description
User gets an error when trying to reverse engineering a db2 11.1 database. The error is that the DB2 user does not have the required authorisation or privilege on the object SYSCAT.SECURITYPOLICIES.This is a restricted environment and it is not possible to give permissions on some syscat views.Is there any workaround? -
Cause
The process of reverse engineering expects privilege on this object because TDM supports reverse engineering of security policies and labels.
Anyway we understand this is a problem in a restricted environment so we prepared a custom package which avoids this error.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Please follow the steps below:1. Copy the attached package to the folder with custom packages (i.e. c:\Users\\Documents\Toad Data Modeler\Standard Installation 7.1 x64\Packages\{DCB5CB9B-CF65-4350-86B5-285D246FC5AC}\),2. Restart TDM,3. Run the RE wizard and uncheck the objects "Security Labels / Policies". -
