SQL Navigator for Oracle 7.5 - Release Notes

REF Column Characteristics

The REF datatype stores an object ID that points to a row in an object table. It can be used to retrieve the data held in the object row. Optionally, the REF can store the ROWID (the physical location) of the object row.

A REF column can be associated with a constraint.

For information about using Oracle REF datatypes and table/column constraints, see Oracle database administration handbooks.
