Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise 11.7 - Management Pack for SCOM User Guide

SQL Server | Home Page | Performance Health Panel

Displays information about the health of the SQL Server:

Component Description

Healthy / Unhealthy

A database with healthy performance spends its time productively on CPU and I/O.

A database with unhealthy performance spends too much time waiting for bottlenecks such as locks and latches. The Poor Performance Health Alarm is raised. To assess the source of the poor performance, right click Show Details | Performance Health to open the SQL Server | Performance Health Drilldown.

A performance-health rating of 80% or more is considered healthy.

If no performance-health rating is provided then the load being placed on the database is too low to assess its health. The database performance health is still considered to be healthy.
