Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise 11.7 - Management Pack for SCOM User Guide

Spotlight Cloud | Organizations

Spotlight Cloud (Spotlight Essentials) organizations work well in an environment where there are multiple Spotlight Diagnostic Server. Each Spotlight Cloud account is configured to a Spotlight Diagnostic Server. When these Spotlight Cloud accounts join a Spotlight organization they upload data collectively and their account holders can view a consolidated analysis of all connections monitored by the organization.

Health checks / Performance analysis

Members of an organization upload performance data to Spotlight Cloud as a collective. When your Spotlight Cloud account is a member of an organization you can see an analysis of all the performance data uploaded to the organization by all members. Show health check results for all connections monitored by the organization.

Note: Members of the organization can only see and contribute to the performance data uploaded to the organization. When your Spotlight Cloud account is a member of an organization your uploads are directed to the organizational account instead of your individual Spotlight Cloud account. When your Spotlight Cloud account leaves the organization you will be able to see historical data uploaded to your personal account and resume uploading to your personal account.

Monitoring features: heat map, alarms list, snooze and acknowledge alarms

When members of an organization sign in to Spotlight Cloud at www.spotlightessentials.com or Spotlight Mobile they see a combined heat map and alarms list for all connections monitored by the members of the organization. If you ignore/ snooze/ acknowledge an alarm it is noted against your user id. Other members of the organization can see the user who acted on the alarm. The connections are organized under Spotlight Diagnostic Server.
