User Activity Drilldown Summary Tab Connections in Use

The number of connections (logins) connected to this server.

If the "Connections in Use" value consistently approaches the connections configured, consider increasing the number of connections configured.

There is a small cost in memory when allocating more user connections. To determine cost, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Memory Drilldown.

  2. Click on the Configuration Tab.

  3. Select the Number of Connections parameter.

  4. At the bottom of the page, type the number of connections to evaluate.

  5. Click 'Go'.

Spotlight will report back the amount of overhead that increasing this parameter will incur on the Adaptive Server.
