The number of local applications currently connected to databases in the database manager instance. These are applications that were started from this instance. The number is a measure of concurrent processing and changes often. By frequently checking this and other metrics for local and remote connections, you can determine typical levels of concurrent processing in the database manager.
Tip: To see which connected applications are currently performing units of work, check the Local Conns in Execution column.
