SMS component

Tablespace Tuning

The SMS component provides statistics about SMS (system-managed space) tablespaces to which a database is mapped.

Required monitor switch

Displayed statistics

At each refresh, Spotlight captures the following statistics and displays them in the SMS component:

Total Size--The total amount of space in a SMS tablespace. This value is shown in megabytes.
Utilization--The percentage of space in a SMS tablespace that is already used. This statistic has a predefined range of alarms.

Graph

The fill graph depicts the percentage of SMS tablespace that currently contains table data in the database.
