Background Processes Panel (Standby)

 

The Background Processes (Standby) panel:

Background Processes

Database Writer

The number of Database Writer processes on the standby database.

The DBWR writes the buffer cache blocks from SGA to the data files.

Data flows

From Buffer Cache to Data Files

The rate at which the DBWR writes modified blocks to disk.

Note: A number of alarms are associated with DBWR on Spotlight on Oracle. Those alarms are raised when applicable on the Spotlight on Oracle home page. They are not raised on the Spotlight on Oracle Data Guard home page.
