Phys Read Avg (msec)

The average amount of time spent physically reading data and index pages from tablespaces into a buffer pool. The reads are physical in that they are performed from tablespace containers and require I/O.

Average physical read time is shown in milliseconds. A high average physical read time could be a symptom of an I/O wait. To see elapsed physical read time, check Pool Read Time (msec) in the Buffer Pool Details tab.
