The number of times that locks were escalated from several row locks to a table lock in the database.
A lock is escalated under either of these conditions:
The total number of locks held by an application reaches the maximum amount of lock list space available to the application
The lock list space used by all applications is approaching the total lock list space
The values for the MAXLOCKS and LOCKLIST configuration parameters determine the amount of lock list space available.
