Adding shared drives to non- shared library using the semi- automatic method

Click Modify.

On the Edit Device page, locate, and click the applicable library.

Click Scan for shared drives.

Click Save.
The library will be added and listed in the Library Configuration area on the Edit Device page. The status will change to online when the library initialization process completes.

Adding shared drives to non-shared library manually

Click Modify.

On the Edit Device page, click Show Drives to view the NetVault Backup Server or SmartClient node to which the device is attached.

Click the applicable drive type, and then click Open to display the available drives.

Click Save.
The library will be added and listed in the Library Configuration area on the Edit Device page. The status will change to online when the library initialization process completes.

Sharing standalone drives

Click Modify.

On the Edit Device page, click Show Drives to view the NetVault Backup Server or SmartClient node to which the device is attached.

Click the applicable drive type, and then click Open to display the available drives.

Click the drive, and click Add Shared. This displays the drive picture, type, and details in the Selected Drives area.

Click Save.
The drive will added and listed in the Library Configuration area on the Edit Device page. The status will change to online when the drive initialization process completes.
