Opening and closing entry/exit ports

2
In the list of devices, open the library, and then click the Ports link or the corresponding Manage Ports button to open the Port Browser.
When you issue the Open Port command, NetVault Backup puts a software lock on library so that it knows that the port door is going to be opened.
4
To close the port after placing a tape, select Close Port. If you have placed a cleaning tape in the port, select Close port with cleaning media.
When you issue the Close Port command, NetVault Backup knows that you have physically closed the port door, and it removes the lock on the library.
