On the NetVault Backup Client on which you want to run the VSS-based backup, open the vss.cfg file. This file resides in the config subdirectory under the NetVault Backup installation directory. |

On the Start menu, click NetVault Configurator. You can access this program from Start > All Programs > Quest > NetVault Backup > NetVault Configurator. |

In the Configurator window, the following tabs are available: |

Click OK to apply the changes and exit Configurator. Alternatively, click Apply to commit the new settings and remain in Configurator. |
NOTE: The Configurator reads the configuration files into memory, and when you click OK or Apply, it writes the changed and unchanged files back to the disk. After the Configurator has read a file into memory, if you modify that file through the WebUI, the changes are overwritten when the Configurator saves the file. |
