Migrating to O365 Using the Azure Pipeline

Metalogix Content Matrix currently has limited support for the Azure Migration Pipeline.

By default Metalogix Content Matrix will try to use the Shared SPO Containers when migrating to an SharePoint Online tenant, provided that the Azure Pipeline and Azure Encryption options are both enabled. Using the Shared Azure Containers does not require any additional configuration.   However, you still have the option of manually configuring Metalogix Content Matrix to use a specific set of Azure containers instead.  For detailed information on additional system and configuration requirements for using the pipeline, please see the Metalogix Content Matrix Performance Optimization Guide PDF document included in the installation ZIP file.

How Content Matrix Determines Azure/SPO Container Batch Sizes

The EnvironmentSettings.xml file includes configurable thresholds for Azure/SPO Container batch sizes in both number of items (200 by default) and size (1000 MB by default).  Content Matrix determines the size of a batch to upload to Azure when the lower threshold is met.

For example:

·If a library has 20 documents, each of which is 100 MB, Content Matrix will use the size threshold and will create two batches of 1000 MB.

·If a library has 1000 documents, each of which is 1KB, Content Matrix will use the item threshold and will create five batches of 200 items.

Refer to the topic Configuring Azure SPO Pipeline Settings information on changing Azure/SPO Container batch sizes.
