Account Management

AIX 5L Group management

This InTrust report shows instances of group creation and deletion for AIX 5L. The AIX 5L Accounts Monitoring and AIX 5L Audit Log data sources should be configured to generate this report - to provide data on group management actions and their initiators, respectively. Click the Details link for a particular group to see the details of the group management action in a sub-report.

AIX 5L Group membership management

This InTrust report shows instances of members being added to groups and removed from groups for AIX 5L. The AIX 5L Accounts Monitoring and AIX 5L Audit Log data sources should be configured to generate this report. They provide data on group membership management actions and their initiators, respectively. You can organize information in several ways for convenient analysis. Note: If two or more group membership changes are made for the same user at the same time, the report might show the wrong initiator.

AIX 5L User management

This InTrust report shows instances of user account creation and deletion for AIX 5L. The AIX 5L Accounts Monitoring and AIX 5L Audit Log data sources should be configured to generate this report - to provide data on account management actions and their initiators, respectively. Click the Details link for a particular user to see the details of the user management action in a sub-report.

Permissions Management

AIX 5L File Permission Changes

This InTrust report shows file permission changes done by users (e.g. by chmod command). The report displays file names and new security modes (chmod-like format, e.g. 622).

Policy Changes

AIX 5L Configuration files modifications

This InTrust report shows instances of plain text file modification. This lets you find out whether changes were made to particular AIX 5L configuration files. The report displays when strings were added or removed, but does not include the actual changes. If a line was modified, the report treats this as a combination of line deletion and line addition.

Logons

AIX 5L failed login attempts

This InTrust report shows details of failed AIX 5L login attempts.

AIX 5L login statistics

This InTrust report shows how many successful and failed AIX 5L logins occurred within the specified period of time. It also displays the number of cases when there were multiple consecutive failed logins, which indicates possible password-picking activity.

AIX 5L multiple failed login attempts

This InTrust report shows details of situations when multiple failed AIX 5L login attempts occurred in a row. Click a number in the Count column for a particular attempt to view the original Syslog messages about each attempt.

AIX 5L password changes

This InTrust report shows password change events.

AIX 5L su activity

This InTrust report shows details of AIX 5L su activity.

AIX 5L successful logins

This InTrust report shows details of successful AIX 5L login attempts.

All AIX 5L syslog events

This InTrust report is designed for manual analysis of AIX 5L Syslog messages. Use filtering by date and time, host, message source and message content to find out the information you need.
