This metric indicates the average combined level of utilization of the appliance CPUs. Newer appliances have eight cores so this metric reflects the average utilization across all eight cores. Generally, this metric should give readings below 50 percent. Readings above that level may indicate that the appliance is overloaded.
This metric indicates how many errors are occurring while loading new metrics into the SQL databases. A value of 0 indicates there were no errors. Database loading errors may occur for a variety of reasons including the following:
This metric indicates the amount of time taken to load records into the database during the five-minute cycle. This metric is a direct indication of the amount of load that an appliance is experiencing. If the load time exceeds 30 seconds consistently corrective action should be taken to reduce the amount of records being loaded per cycle. This can be accomplishing by adding filters, reducing the number of servers monitored, or configuring path rules and site aliases.
This metric displays the percentage of the database partition that is currently in use. If usage exceeds 90 percent that could indicate a problem that should be communicated to Quest Technical Support.
