This metric provides an estimate of the peak number of services per second that are requested for a given service definition. This gives you the ability to evaluate the peak request load that a service experiences when evaluating SLAs on the service itself. Some SLAs provide exemptions if concurrent activity exceeds a predetermined level. This metric provides a benchmark by which you can evaluate the peak levels of activity that a service experiences.

Services are a sequence of one or more steps, where each step is identified by a URL or a regular expression. Each step in the service must be requested by the user and processed successfully by the server to complete the service. A specific ordering of the URLs can be mandated when configuring the service.
