Unable to migrate to PT 8.54 environments, but 8.53 working fine -
Description
In the process of upgrading PeopleTools to 8.54. The set up a number of 8.54 environments separate from PT 8.53 production environments.
The file objects migrated successfully, but the database objects seemed to be stuck in a PS Pending status. Also, migrating 8.54 code manually with App Designer works without a problem. What noted was an error in background visible only if Stat client is minimized. The error is a popup window "SQL Access ManagerSQL error."

Cause
The PSACCESSPRFL table in the staging database did not contain the correct encrypted password for the sysadm user.Once the password was updated and encrypted the migrations worked fine. -
Resolution
Here's how the problem was found:- Changed the PeopleSoft configuration file to do a SQL trace and then tried the migration again.It was expecting to find that something was amiss with the development database, but the trace file indicated the staging database was the problem. So, update the password there to solve.
