How to setup a multi node environment in Stat for Oracle Application ?
Description

The need is to configure a multinode environment in Stat. So is it require to install Stat agent on both multi node servers and also need to add Hostname entry in Maintenance | General | Oracle application connect | Servers ? In server detail do we need to add both multinode host detail ?
Resolution

Depending if the environment is not shared appl_top, it requires an OA agent running on each node.
When creating the environment in Oracle Applications Environment Connection Maintenance table, each node needs to be set up as a separate Server. (Refer to Sys admin manual – Defining Oracle Applications Servers)
In general, Stat_5.7.1_Patch_App_Instructions.pdf has more info specific to R12.2.
For multi-node environments, it is better if ssh is enabled between Admin node and other nodes. That way only admin node will apply patches.
