E-business agent won't start and I get ORA-12514 Listener error when test connecting the datab -
Description
Stat E-business agent fails to start with following message:
TRACE - JDBC URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:apps/<password>@//dbname:1521/PRD1 ERROR - Unable to connect to database for environment UNIPRD1. Please verify the APPS username and password and listener port and service name in Stat's configuration. Exception: Io exception: Connection refused(DESCRIPTION=(TMP=)(VSNNUM=186646784)(ERR=12514)(ERROR_STACK=(ERROR=(CODE=12514)(EMFI=4))))
DEBUG - JDBC connection to "apps/password" using "jdbc:oracle:thin:apps/<password>@//hostname:port/sid" failed (Io exception: Connection refused(DESCRIPTION=(TMP=)(VSNNUM=186646784)(ERR=12514)(ERROR_STACK=(ERROR=(CODE=12514)(EMFI=4)))))
FATAL - Fatal: Stat validation of environment failed. Unable to start Stat Oracle Agent
And when I test connect this E-business ENV from Stat web client, I get the following error message:
ORA-12514 TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

Cause
The listener for the E-business database had been switched from LISTENER_HOSTNAME to generic name LISTENER.

Resolution
If the database was originally listening on a custom listener name such as LISTENER_HOSTNAME and the issue occured when listener name was switched to generic name LISTENER, switch the listener back to original custom listener name.
