How to use a shared profile on network location for the stat.ini?
Description

How do I tell the stat client to always default to the Shared profile, not the local copy of the ini?
Resolution

1. Configure the stat.ini to point to your stat db

2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Stat\5.6.x and locate the stat.ini and copy this file to the network drive. For example, Z drive.

2. Modify the statini from C:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Stat\5.6.x to look like this:

[Databases]

[Options]
ClientTimeOffset=0
PSMaxConnections=4
PSCheckObjVersion=Y

[Shared Profile]
SharedProfile=Z:\stat.ini
LocalFailOver=N

Z:\stat.ini is an example of where my stat.ini file is located at. Change it to a valid location.

3. Now on the Z drive, make sure that you have a valid stat.ini file. See example below:

Dbname1=ST564

[ST564]
DBMS=O90
OtherDbParm=
DbTrace=No
Unicode=N
ServerName=ST564
LoginId=STATLOGIN
LoginPassword=fc23598eb60b2e7674f3447e83b8f0b43c357b9c48aaf96c9d9e7ba8804705ea1a229afdc42a6f5fb51089efaf60ff45
ConnectTimeOutSecs=10
