After physical locking was implemented, the user is no longer able to view/edit any objects even though the object was locked in Stat. Verified that the object is in STAT_PSOPRID and a unique PPL has been setup for the user.
The unique Primary Permission List does not have access to object permissions.
1. Logon to Peoplesoft three tier layer and select PeopleTools | Security | User Profiles and do a search on the user.
2. Once the user profile search is returned, click the General Tab and look for the Primary Permission List. This PPL has to be unique for each user.
3. Do a search on the PPL that was defined for that particular user.
4. Once the permission list search is returned, click the PeopleTools tab and double click on Object Permissions. Full Access on object permission needs to be grant to the user if you want the user to be able to modify an object.
5. Logon to App Designer and select Go | Definition Security.
6. Select File | Open Permission list | double click on the user PPL and check to see if STAT_READ, STAT_EXCLUD and STAT_PSOPRID is on the left hand pane of the PPL. STAT_READ needs to be set to display only.
7. In the Stat Windows client, select Maintenance | General | Peoplesoft Connect and check use physical locking for the environment that you are implementing physical locking.
8. Select Maintenance | General | Service Domain and check PS Locking for the Service Domain.
9. Logon to Stat web client, click the Jobs Monitor | select the PS Object Lock Synch Job and click Run Selected. Give it a few minutes for the job to run and switch to the Logs tab to see if the job has been ran successfully.
