Error in PSPhysicalLocking/Creating PS Group: ORA-12899: value too large for column SYSADM"."PSPRDEFSEC_GRPS" -
Description
Developers are not able to open any peoplesoft object that is locked by the same developer in STAT CSR. We enabled physical locking and ran PS Object Lock Synch job successfully. We noticed this error message within weblogic (Stat central agent) Error in PSPhysicalLocking/Creating PS Group: ORA-12899: value too large for column "SYSADM"."PSPRDEFSEC_GRPS". How can we make sure that developers can open their objects with full rights in app designer? -
Cause
STAT_PSOPRID group exceed 18 limit characters in Peoplesoft -
Resolution
1. Logon to App Designer and take a look at the STAT_PSOPRID group. Are they more than 18 characters? If they are, then try to make the PSOPRID shorter.
2. Go to Maintenance | General | Peoplesoft connect and take a look at the Stat PS OPR ID column. The default is set to STAT. If you want more characters for the PSOPRID then remove TAT so that you only have the letter S left. This mean that user can have 16 characters for the PSOPRID along with the two characters that is needed to add the group such as S_PSOPRID.
