After the Installation of SQL-Navigator 7.3 it works fine with the Oracle Home. But after the Import of user Settings with Profile Manager it is necessary to change the Windows Registry:
[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-66538259-1857230727-1563503735-12459\Software\Dell\SQL Navigator 7.3.0\Preferences\General] "Default_Home"=dword:00000000 "Oracle_Home"=""
Steps to reproduce the issue and scenarios where this happens:
SCENARIO 1
1.There are installed both 32 bit and 64 bit full oracle home
2.Install SQL Navigator 7.3 64bit, then select one of 64bit oracle home and ticked 'set as default oracle home'
3.Uninstall 64bit SQL Navigator , then install 32bit SQL Navigator 7.3
when login to 32bit of SQL Navigator , error dialog say 'can not found oracle home', could not switch to 32bit home automatic.
SCENARIO 2
1. have installed version 6.7 and 7.2 with 32-Bit-Oracle Client.
2. backup with Profile Manager
3 Install Version 7.3 with 64-Bit Oracle Client
=> Now it is possible to work with 7.3 without User-Data of Version 6.7/7.2
4. restore the User-Data with Profile Manager to Version 7.3
=> Now it is not possible to work with 7.3, because the wrong Oracle-Client is in the Registry
After manually changing the Registry Key it is possible to work with 7.3 and the other User-Data of Version 6.7/7.2
WORKAROUND
Change the registry manuallySTATUS
Waiting for fix in a future release of SQL Navigator for Oracle
