Error received when SQL Navigator is left idling for a while:
"ORA-02396: exceeded maximum idle time, please connect again"
WORKAROUND:
Determine is if SQL Navigator is dropping the connection or your oracle client. Log into both SQL Navigator and SQL Plus and leave the sessions idle. Do you experience the same issue on both connections? If you are, then reinstall or upgrade the Oracle client to match the database Server.
STATUS:
An Enhancement Request was submitted to have an option to run a script within SQL Navigator to turn the keep alive script ON or OFF so that you will not lose connection to the database.
